I am aware that though I've had a slight weight gain since last year, my clothes still fit fairly loose and I am toned up. I haven't felt terribly body conscious lately. Then it happened.
I was visiting a friend, who had another friend visiting, who had two very young children. We were all sitting on the lawn when we decided to get up and go. My friend was walking the little girl to the bathroom while I was heading home. The little girl said, "Why is that lady's butt so big?"
My friend immediately started touching her own butt and said, "Mine?"
The little girl pointed directly at me and said, "No, her! Why is her butt so big?"
My friend got embarrassed and just said in an annoyed tone, "I don't know."
I wanted to say to my friend, "So, you are agreeing that I have a big butt? Why don't you come to my defense?"
It was all rather humorous, but it also made me wonder how many people this child has been exposed to. Though I am not the ideal weight, I am certainly a lot less round than most people. I'm just middle aged with some pockets of fat in my rear, belly and thighs, like most women. Oh well, I'm sure the child spoke the truth, so I guess it's time to hit the treadmill again.

I am wondering why a mother would raise a child who thought it was cute to say a repulsive thing like that. Hey Nuz that little brat needed to be smacked a good one. You've had an awful year and no matter what that the truth is, that brat should not have said that.

Well, I guess if you're only tall enough that your eyes are level with adult's butts, I can understand why some children could become fixated on them. *wink*
